A community of winegrowers, estates and specialists with roots dating back to 1964. Maîtres Vignerons combines the work of individual estates with shared expertise in winemaking, bottling and distribution.
The story began when eight winegrowers from the Saint-Tropez peninsula decided to build a shared bottling and distribution facility. Their aim was to give their wines a route to market while allowing the estates to retain their names, individual character and connection to their own vineyards.
This combination of independence and cooperation remains central to Maîtres Vignerons. Based at La Foux in Gassin, the organisation brings together producers from several winegrowing areas of Provence.
The winegrowers cultivate their vineyards and make wine at their own estates. Through the community, they receive specialist support with vineyard work, winemaking and bottling.
Over time, Maîtres Vignerons has expanded its storage facilities and modernised its bottling and packaging plant.
The associated estates are found on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, in the area between Cuers, Puget-Ville and Pierrefeu, and on the plains near the Maures, among other locations. Maîtres Vignerons therefore encompasses a range of landscapes and winegrowing areas.
The portfolio includes wines from named estates as well as its own wine brands. An estate wine tells the story of a particular domaine, while a wine brand may draw on selections from a broader group of producers.
We have spent a great deal of time in and around Saint-Tropez over many trips and stays. When we were introduced to Maîtres Vignerons in 2022, it meant a great deal to find a partner with such clear roots in a region to which we feel closely connected.
Through close dialogue, we have reached a shared understanding of the Norwegian market and our ambitions for the partnership. We find them a flexible partner, well suited to the way we want to work in Norway.
Since 2022, Haut de Gamme has been the exclusive importer and representative of Maîtres Vignerons de la Presqu’île de Saint-Tropez in Norway.
